It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I don't know about most people but I LOVE CHRISTmas. It is my favorite holiday. Wherever you go around Christmas it seems and feels like everyone is happy and it doesn't matter what your religious, spiritual, political, or daily life view is you are happy and all celebrating. But in the midst of all it all the gift giving, parties, traveling, I think people can sometimes forget what Christmas is all about. Even though we know December is not actually the month Jesus was born in it is when we celebrate it, do you celebrate your birthday, loved ones, than why not celebrate the birthday of the man who died so that you might be saved. That is one of the main reasons I love Christmas to think that God sent his son as flesh, he sent him as a baby in the womb of a virgin, the angel said to Mary God has found favor with thee, could you imagine the honor Mary would have felt that out of every one on earth God had found favor and entrusted her with his son. OOOOPS I got of track. God had a Mother and a Father raise him instill values and a Love for God. I could go on and on and on but people have tried to take the CHRIST out of CHRISTMAS, I frankly do not understand it. I love decorating for Christmas the lights, the trees, the smells, LOVE IT.

Creative Girl

Decorating kids rooms are a lot of fun, and can be challenging. Trying to do something neat, unique, intriquing, and fun all in the same room. Oh yes and kid friendly too. Boys like certain things it basically comes down to they want a few main things but other than that could care less. Girls they care about every little thing, where things are going to be placed, to the color, and if they don't like it they will let you know. My little girl is only 6 months so can't really give her opinion yet about her room decor or what she wears, I do know about this, I have two incredible nieces who know what they want in their room, and mostly know what they want to wear. I LOVE IT, I think it is so cute, I know it can drive their mom nuts sometimes especially on Sunday mornings, but they are exploring their creativity, and my their mom encourages it, GREAT JOB MOM. Kids need that boys are more drawn to technical things and girls are more drawn to things of style, along with other things.

My favorite color is Green always has been probably always will, I try and incorporate green in every room somewhere, whether it is a plant, pillow, chair, whatever nearly every room has something green. If I had a bigger house I would have a green room. I think every house should have a "Green Room". Anyways I found this room and LOVED IT, I am more drawn to different shades of Olive Green but I like pretty much all greens.

My New Find

I found this offered the lady $50 and she said she would take it, we are going to reupholster it with something that will match my living room, cause it is going to replace the boot bench I have in the entry way, we go look at it tomorrow, I am so excited.

My New Sofa Set

Well after almost 8 years of having them we sold our sofa set and are getting a new one, I am very excited, these are pics of the new set we are getting, we pick it up Sunday.

My Bathroom

Well I finally got my bathroom done it isn't painted since we are renting but other than that, I was so excited everything cost a little over $50 I shopped for deals and I got the money by selling some stuff on craigslist.

Baby Beds

Here is a crib and a cradle I found at an online boutique no I don't own them considering their price is like two months of my rent/mortgage. I thought they were interesting, I especially love the cradle.

Things Hideous

There are some things that just should be in a house because they are ugly or hideous, In my opinion these sorts of things are Hideous you can have rustic/country/outdoors taste without stuff like this.

Changed Bathroom

So I was strolling through the store today, when my eyes caught this and I fell in love, Jeremy has been trying to talk me into doing a chocolate brown and pale blue color in our bathroom well everything we found was very retro/modern looking or square, very guy looking. I was going to do my bathroom chocolate brown and a plum but when I saw these I said ok Jeremy I will do the colors you like, with a pattern I LOVE. So my bathroom is going to be based on these towels.

My Heart

Like I said it isn't my dream kitchen but it is mine.

Heart of a Home

To me the heart of a home is the kitchen, nearly everything happens in the kitchen. Everyone always seems to gather in the kitchen and personally there is something about a kitchen and dining room that is comforting especially around the holidays. At Holidays you will usually find almost all the women in the kitchen working to get the magnificent holiday feast on, talking, pretty much everything. I have not been blessed with the kitchen of my dreams yet but it is still my kitchen and the heart of my home. These pics with this post are more pics of my dream kitchen.

Buffet

So I found this buffet I am still trying to talk Jeremy into it I found it on CL for $75 and also found it in an antique furniture store for $600, HMMMM tough one. I absolutely love it.

My Cozy Room

I love my bedroom, I wanted and still want to paint the white walls a creamy tan color but for now it is fine I don't want to do to much since we are renting. But I love my room I love the colors they make me feel COZY now if I just had a fireplace in a room. Jeremy wanted a Log Bedroom Set as you can see we only have the bed for now but slowly we are adding to it, I didn't want a Log Bed really but he really wanted it so I went with colors and ideas from a time of year I love Autumn, and I LOVE IT even with the log bed, in fact the log just adds to it, in my opinion. My closet is a small walk in, my bathroom is still a work in progress I am trying to decorate it the same brown color in the room with a antique plum color but it is hard finding anything to go with it (meaning pictures or anything extra).
